Description: This black and white English language lesson booklet was created for new immigrants by the Australian Broadcasting Commission and the Office and Education for the Department of Immigration. The booklet would be used in conjunction with live broadcasts of the lessons on ABC radio. Printed by Denley appears on the back.

The booklet contents contain a list of the lessons broadcast times, dialogue and images of everyday scenarios. This object represents the English teaching strategies used by the government in the 1960s.

Significance: This object illustrates the 1960s federal policy to support migrants, during the 'Populate or Perish' era post WWII when migration was heavily encouraged. For most of the 20th century the Australian government provided incentives to settle in Australia, such as paid passage, to European migrants.

This object also places an emphasis on the need of migrant services once they had arrived.
